So as I mentioned in yesterday’s newsletter the main goal of SOPs & project management allow for independence

But today let’s talk about how you can have good SOPs so that when you link them to your project management it’s useful

Each SOP you make should serve two purposes

1. Break down the task step by step

2. Teach the framework around the task

The first will allow them to copy and paste what is working and replicate it

The latter will allow them to think and use common sense and their knowledge when they can’t copy and paste

The most effective SOPs follow this checklist

1. Break down the step by step of the task

2. Go over the framework around the task

3. Uses simple words and nothing complex

4. SOP is under 5 minutes long (short & concise with no fluff)

If you follow these 4 and keep going until you meet them all

Not only will you have SOPs that are very easy to adopt

But this means your team can ask you fewer questions

Which means they’ll operate more independently

Build out the structure of your SOP in your agency

Record the loom video

Go over the step-by-step

Teach the framework during that or after the step by step is done

Upload wherever you store your SOPs

Rinse and repeat

Make sure your SOP hub is in the same software as your project management
